These are the set of rules the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office uses to execute specific goals.
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of all policies and some policies may be old.

Body Worn Camera
Oversees the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office’s (JSO) body-worn camera (BWC) program

Code of Conduct
The purpose of this policy is to establish a universal code of conduct for all members of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO).

Communications Dispatch
Dispatch is part of the Communications Section staffed by Police Emergency Communications Officers (PECO) who are responsible for using radio equipment and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) computers to communicate calls for service to field units and to monitor police activity on numerous talk-groups with an emphasis on officer safety and accuracy.

Corrections Reporting and Documentation
The purpose of this order is to provide policy and standards for documentation required for the Jail Management System (JMS) and pertinent reports within the Department of Corrections (DOC).

Direction and Supervision
The purpose of this order is to establish the requirements and responsibilities of all Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) members serving in a supervisory capacity.

Inmate Discipline
Standards for a uniform application of inmate discipline within the Department of Corrections (DOC).

Inmate Institutional Files and Records
The purpose of this order is to provide policy and standards for the collection of inmate information, the preparation and maintenance of inmate institutional files, and the records of the Department of Corrections (DOC).

Inmate Postal Services
The purpose of this policy is to establish procedures for the collection and distribution of inmate mail.

Internal Affairs
Oversees all administrative investigations into allegations of misconduct against members of the agency, ensuring they are conducted in a thorough, confidential, accurate, and timely manner.

JSO Facilities Security
The reason for this policy is to establish procedures regarding JSO building security.

Personnel Development and Movement
The purpose of this order is to establish policy and procedures for the management of positions within the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO}, all elements of the Career Development Program, annual performance evaluations of members, division files, and probationary requirements for newly hired and newly promoted members.

Physical Restraints
This order explains policies surrounding the use of physical restraints by JSO law enforcement officers and corrections.

Public Relations & Information
Disseminates information between the JSO and the public.

Response to Resistance

SWAT
SWAT teams handle high-risk situations (hostage rescue, barricaded suspects, high-risk warrant service) that exceed the training and equipment of patrol officers, so this order defines when SWAT is activated and how it operates.

Secondary Employment
This order explains secondary employment opportunities open to JSO employees.

Vehicle Pursuits
The purpose of this policy is to establish procedures for conducting pursuits of motor vehicles.

Wrecker Regulation
Ensuring vehicles (including aircraft and vessels) impounded by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) are accounted for, securely stored, and disposed of in compliance with applicable laws and chain of custody.
